Lizzy’s Travels

This fall I traveled to Europe for the first time. I was full of so many emotions! It was the first time I had traveled pretty far without Brandon and my babies, and I had never been to Europe. I was excited and nervous all at the same time. Luckily, I was traveling with a great group of gals who made the trip so easy and fun.

Highlights and “must sees” of our trip!

As much as I wish I could pack every last detail of the three days into one post, it would go on for days! I’m so excited to get to share a recap of our travels here on my blog. We shared so many exciting memories and did some exploring. Take a stroll down memory lane with me?

The Louvre Museum | One of my absolute FAVORITE parts of Paris. I highly recommend spending an entire day here. There is SO much to see. Bring your comfortable shoes and spend the day. You’ll thank me later.

Tuileries Garden | Just like all the other beautiful gardens in Paris, this one is breathtaking. Directly across from the Lourve, Tuleries Garden is full of lush green grasses, plants and timeless sculptures. The perfect place for us photogs to snag headshots – you bet we did!

Sacré-Coeur Basilica | We did most of our walking and sightseeing during the day but one night we decided to stay out late and explore Paris at night. We went to the Sacre-Coeur Basilica and it was absolutely breathtaking. Although we could not take pictures on the inside, I believe the inside of this Cathedral might be even more amazing the the outside.

The Eiffel Tower | A must see on everyone’s Paris to do list! It is even more magical at night!

McDonald’s Restaurant | Ok. I’m not crazy, hear me out. There is a cafe legit every five feet in Paris but they do close early. So, if you do some late night exploring and miss dinner, McDonald’s Restaurant in Paris is THE BOMB.COM! Not only was the service amazing the food was a billion times better than any McDonald’s I have ever ate at, ever.

The Metro System | Do yourself a favor, learn the metro rail or take a friend with you who can! Em learned how to use the metro system in Paris and got us from every destination faster and cheaper than any Uber. 10/10 would recommend!

I can’t thank Holly from Coastal Roots Photography, sweet Em and Andie of Costola Photography for taking this girl out of the DMV and off to Paris!

Oui Oui, ladies!
